This Privacy Policy explains how DeepDesk ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our service at deepdesk.cloud. By using DeepDesk, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: your name and email address when you sign in
  • Google Drive access: files and documents you choose to import
  • Prompts and questions you submit to the AI

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent in the app
  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, IP address
  • Authentication tokens from Google OAuth

Information we do not collect

  • We do not access Google Drive files you have not explicitly chosen to import
  • We do not store your Google account password
  • We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the DeepDesk service
  • Process your documents and generate AI answers
  • Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
  • Send service-related communications (not marketing, unless you opt in)
  • Monitor for abuse, security issues, and technical errors
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Google Drive Data

DeepDesk uses Google OAuth to request read-only access to your Google Drive. This means:

  • We can read files you explicitly select for import
  • We cannot modify, delete, or move any file in your Drive
  • We do not access files you have not imported
  • Imported document content is stored securely to power your AI searches

You can revoke Google Drive access at any time at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access will prevent DeepDesk from importing new files but will not automatically delete previously imported content from our servers. Contact us to request full deletion.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and imported documents for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal data and imported documents within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data and imported documents
  • Withdraw consent to data processing at any time
  • Object to certain types of processing

7. Third-Party Services

DeepDesk uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Google APIs - for authentication and Google Drive access
  • AI providers - to generate answers from your documents
  • Cloud hosting providers - to store and serve the application
  • Analytics tools - to understand usage patterns (anonymized)

Each third-party provider has their own privacy policy governing their use of data. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

8. Cookies

DeepDesk uses essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the service.

9. Children's Privacy

DeepDesk is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the service or by email. Your continued use of DeepDesk after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
